What are the backup storage options for CCTV and IP cameras?

Ever wondered how to make the backup storage of security camera, apart from recording in the SD card, cloud, DVR, or NVR? I can briefly help you to go through the options available:

1. IP Camera with storage in SD card (example: IP Camera with primary recording in SD card) The first level storage is in SD card, you can have you second level storage in the NVR. The NVR can be at the same or different location as your IP camera. By doing so, you have your backup function of security camera
2. IP Camera with storage in NVR (example: IP camera with NVR). The primary NVR is the first level storage, for the second level storage, there are two options:
   1. Have another NVR, of course. Again, the NVR can be at the same or different location as your IP camera
   2. Have one NVR, but make sure this NVR comes with advanced features such as RAID (explanation: RAID - Wikipedia)
3. Analog CCTV camera with DVR (example: analog CCTV with DVR). You can only have 1 DVR, so make sure, the DVR has RAID
